From Airport to city center:
The easiest and most convenient is to take a taxi or the miniBUD airport shuttle service. All taxi companies are reliable, and they use the same rates. A trip from the airport to the city center costs around 8000 HUF (around 25 EUR). There is a booth just outside the airport arrival hall, where you can get a taxi.
You can also use public transport. Bus 100E is a direct service from the airport to Kálvin tér M and Deák Ferenc tér M. One-way ticket costs 900 HUF (around 3 EUR). Please be careful, this is a special ticket for bus 100E, and it is not identical to regular public transport tickets.
Getting around the city:
Tickets and passes for public transportation are available from vending machines at stops. You can pay with cash in HUF or by card.
It is possible to buy a weekly unlimited pass (4950 HUF = 15 EUR) or a block of 10 tickets for individual rides (3000 HUF = 9 EUR)
